I (Bethany) am looking forward to seeing Rick safely home tonight from his trip with the Sons of Jubal to China and the DPRK (North Korea). Thank you to everyone for your prayers for safety, health, and the opportunity for the Sons of Jubal to be lights in a very dark place. The Lord has done great things. (If you have missed following the updates from Rick's trip these past two weeks, please read the updates on www.sojtrip2012.org.)
Here is the final update from Jon Duncan the director.
"Sunday was the close of what has been a stunning work of the Lord. The men sang at one of the great churches in Beijing. The room was standing room only with a packed overflow room in the basement. They even had speakers bringing music to the streets to those on the church steps and sidewalks. Estimates of 3,000 or more heard the Sons of Jubal for the program. You should have seen the young people--by the hundreds--coming to hear the Jubals. It was such a blessing to sing "When we've been there ten thousand years..." knowing we would see them again.
They concluded with a repeat concert at the Central Conservatory. The join concert also featured the Conservatory Choir. I was so proud of the men. They sang with such conviction and musical excellence! They also made an impact with the students. It was hard to say goodbye.
I wave goodbye to the first two flights of men heading home. The last group flies out later today (Sunday). I will be heading home tomorrow (Monday). The stories we have experience will not be complete until we see the impact on the other side of heaven. Praise God for whom all blessing flow, praise Him all creatures here below. Praise Him above all ye heavenly host. Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen."
